IT Technician

The Bessemer Management family of trucking companies has a hybrid opportunity for an IT Technician partially based in our Cleveland, Ohio office. In this role and as part of our IT Team, you will be a key player in ensuring the smooth operation and advancement of our IT infrastructure. This role involves tackling complex IT challenges, providing advanced technical support, and contributing to the overall enhancement of our IT systems. 

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Execute advanced technical tasks related to IT infrastructure, including server administration, network management, and security measures
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues promptly, collaborating with other IT professionals and teams
• Provide advanced technical support to end-users, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
• Design and implement IT solutions to improve system efficiency, security, and performance
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in IT technology and make recommendations for integration
• Lead and contribute to IT projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for IT systems and procedures 
  

Recommended Position-Specific Knowledge/Experience:

• Hyperconverged Virtualization Infrastructure 
• OSPF 
• IPSec VPN 
• Backup and Recovery solutions 
• Citrix CCP-V certification 
• Cisco CCNA or higher-level certification 
  

Qualifications & Interpersonal Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in information technology, computer science, or a related field 
• Exceptional problem-solving skills 
• Commitment to delivering top-notch IT services 
• Ability to interact with a variety of people, including truck drivers, terminals, vendors/customers, co-workers, and internal departments 
• Positive attitude and friendly demeanor 

Benefits: 

• Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch, hybrid schedule partially based in our Corporate Office in Valley View, Ohio

Physical Demands of the Position:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; and reach with hands and arms to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
