OTA Institute: Hours of Service and ELD Training

Description

The recent changes to the Hours of Service rules, combined with the expected end of all exemptions related to the Covid-19 pandemic, makes driver’s ELD documentation crucial for carrier’s compliance. Are your drivers aware of the most recent changes, and can your staff audit ELDs efficiently?

The OTA is hosting an Hours of Service and ELD Training on Wednesday, September 14 from 9am – 11:00am at their headquarters in Westerville. Jeff Davis, the principal of Fleet Safety Services and a certified Director of Safety will discuss the changes to the Hours of Service rules including 30-minute breaks, 100 air-mile exception, split-sleeper provision and adverse conditions. He will also cover use of ELD’s, how to prepare for an ELD audit and what you should be looking out for when Covid-19 exemptions end. 

The price to attend this training is $69 for OTA members and $99 for non-members.

About the Trainer:
Jeff Davis is the principal of Fleet Safety Services, LLC, a premiere motor carrier safety management company specializing in safety regulation compliance, CSA management, and FMCSA safety rating negotiation. Jeff has nearly 30 years of motor carrier safety and compliance experience and is a certified director of safety.  Jeff Davis is a recipient of the nationally recognized Truckload Carriers Association Safety Professional of the Year award, as well as being a past recipient of the Safety Professional of the Year Award for the State of Ohio.

Refund Policy:
Our refund policy is as follows:

  • You will receive a 100% refund if you cancel more than 10 days before the course.
  • You will receive a 75% refund if you cancel more than 3 days before the course.
  • You will receive no refund if you cancel less than 3 days before the course.
