OTA Institute: Building A Sustainable Defensive Driving Program and Auto Accident Investigation Training

Join us for an in-depth training session on Wednesday, November 20, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the OTA headquarters in Westerville. This workshop, led by industry expert Adam Murphy from Marsh & McLennan Agency, focuses on creating and maintaining a top-tier Fleet Safety program. The session will cover essential strategies and provide tools, templates, and procedures for developing a sustainable defensive driving program and conducting thorough auto accident investigations.

Defensive Driving Training 

  • Building a culture around safe driving

  • Key program tools and performance metrics

Post Accident Training

  • What resources to have in-cab
  • Management reporting and intervention
  • How and What to gather to file a proper insurance defense
  • Determining preventability [not who’s at-fault]
  • How to manage the process against bad actors

The price to attend this training is $199 for OTA members and $349 for non-members. Lunch is included with the registration fee.

About the Trainer:
Adam Murphy is the acting Safety Supervisor for Fleet Safety at Marsh & McLennan Agency in its Midwest Division. He has served the past 4 years as MMA’s National transportation, safety leader. Prior to coming to MMA Adam has spent the past decade working for a large LTL Trucking company as well as managing a private safety consulting company. Adam has his CDL with his hazmat and tankers and Is a third-generation truck driver. His areas of expertise are Regulatory compliance and complex risk management program development.

Refund Policy:
Our refund policy is as follows:

  • You will receive a 100% refund if you cancel more than 10 days before the training.
  • You will receive a 75% refund if you cancel more than 3 days before the training.
  • You will receive no refund if you cancel less than 3 days before the training.
  • No-shows will be responsible to pay 100% of the registration fee.
