Attend our DOT Compliance Training, led by Marvin Johnson & Associates, on August 12 in Wadsworth. This comprehensive, one-day training session is designed to help you stay compliant with the evolving DOT regulations. Whether you are new to motor carrier safety or a seasoned professional, this course delivers essential insights for all levels of expertise.

Experts from Marvin Johnson & Associates will take a deep dive into the following areas:

  • What is DOT Compliance?
  • How are safety ratings determined? What are your rights and responsibilities?
  • Part 382 – Drug/Alcohol Testing
  • Part 383 – CDL Regulations and Serious Traffic Violations
  • Part 387 – Financial Responsibility
  • Part 390 – Marking and Accident Reporting
  • Part 391 – Qualification of Drivers
  • Part 392 – Driving Motor Vehicles
  • Parts 393 & 396 – Maintenance/ Inspection
  • Part 395 - Hours of Service
  • DOT Log Accuracy Checks

The price to attend is $225 for OTA members and $425 for non-members. Course fees include the management edition of the FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), along with sample copies of all necessary forms. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Instructors:
Instructors for this course are Jordan Barnes and Les Nugen of Marvin Johnson & Associates.

Jordan Barnes is a Safety & Loss Prevention professional with more than 10 years of experience in transportation safety, compliance, and risk management. She has led safety programs for fleets ranging from 100 to 250+ trucks and joined Marvin Johnson & Associates in early 2025. A Certified Director of Safety (CDS), Jordan currently serves on the Indiana Motor Truck Association Board of Directors and is the 2025 Chair of IMTA’s Future Leaders.

Les Nugen, CDS has more than 25 years of experience in transportation, insurance, and risk management. A second-generation safety director, he began his trucking career in 1994 and holds a business degree from Indiana State University. Les is active in multiple state trucking associations and is a Certified Director of Safety through NATMI.

Refund Policy:
Our refund policy is as follows:

  • You will receive a 100% refund if you cancel more than 10 days before the training.
  • You will receive a 75% refund if you cancel more than 3 days before the training.
  • You will receive no refund if you cancel less than 3 days before the training.
  • No shows will be responsible to pay 100% of the registration fee.
