Ohio Trucking Safety Council - September Program

Description

Join the Ohio Trucking Safety Council on September 11 at the Medallion Club in Westerville for a comprehensive look at Ohio CDL requirements and training. Mike Conway of Stark State College will provide updates on current regulations and walk through the full process of preparing new drivers for success.

This session will explore CDL course options (credit and non-credit), classroom curriculum, range maneuverability skills, on-road training, and the testing process. Conway will also discuss financial assistance opportunities available through programs such as HB 96, helping carriers understand how students can access funding to begin or advance their training.

Attendees will gain clarity on Ohio’s CDL requirements, practical insight into the training process, and a clear understanding of available resources to support a well-prepared, compliant driver workforce.

About the Speaker:
Mike Conway serves as Chair of the Automotive and Transportation Technology department at Stark State College, where he leads programs that prepare students for careers in the rapidly evolving transportation industry. With a strong focus on workforce readiness, he has been instrumental in expanding the curriculum to include electric vehicle technology, ensuring students gain the skills needed to meet growing industry demand.

  • You will receive a 100% refund if you cancel more than 10 days before the event.
  • You will receive a 75% refund if you cancel more than 3 days before the event.
  • You will receive no refund if you cancel less than 3 days before the event.
  • No shows will be responsible to pay 100% of the registration fee.
