Join us for a special LIVE episode of OTA on the Air: Team 88 Edition on May 27 when OTA President & CEO Tom Balzer will be joined by Andrew Huffman from the Governmental Policy Group, Inc. They will discuss the reboot of the Team 88 grassroots initiative, detail the OTA legislative wins during the last legislative session and talk about the legislative priorities moving forward. There will also be time for Q&A.

About Our Guest
Andrew Huffman serves as Governmental Policy Group’s Director of Legislative Affairs. Andrew is a graduate of Wittenberg University where he earned a degree in Political Science. He began his career in politics by being accepted into the Ohio Legislative Service Commission Fellowship Program where he was assigned to the Ohio Senate and worked directly with the Chairman of the Senate Finance and Financial Institutions Committee, gaining valuable experience working on the state operating budget. After completing the Fellowship Andrew remained with the Ohio Senate where he served as an Administrative Aide to the Majority Caucus. Andrew joined the Governmental Policy Group team in 2010. He is a member of, and certified by, the Ohio Lobbying Association.

About Team 88
Trucking professionals need to get involved in supporting grassroots advocacy efforts. Grassroots advocacy is a proven method of success and does make a difference at the Ohio Statehouse. That’s why we developed the Team 88 program in 2017 and why we are now expanding this initiative to include all members. When a “hot topic” arises and we need grassroots support, we will supply you with the materials needed to call or email your legislator. Additionally, quarterly webinars will be held to update you on key legislative initiatives and ways to get involved.
